Everest Base Camp Trek Cybercast

Hello all!

Team Performance Wear has made our way higher up the valley, starting with a hike to Tengboche which has the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. We were lucky enough to be there during the Mani Rimdu festival and see the practice dances as well as a large puja and prayer ceremony. What a cool cultural experience! The views both up and down valley from here were also spectacular and we were looking at Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Everest, and more all just from our hotel.
The next day we continued our journey higher through some of the most beautiful trails on the trip in Rhodadendron forest and along the bright blue river. We arrived at Dingboche, a village at the crossroads of two big valleys that also has great views of Lhotse, island peak, and Makalu in the distance and is towered over by the north west face of Ama Dablam.

The team has trekked along the Dudh Koshi up from the lower valley and made it to Namche Bazaar yesterday! This is a central hub of commerce for the entire region and is surrounded by amazing views. After some deserved hot showers, delicious meals, and a night of rest, today we did an acclimation hike up to the historic Everest View Hotel and got our first sighting of Ama Dablam, sometimes called the most beautiful mountain in the world. Tea break surrounded by views of some of the highest peaks, even Everest was out for viewing!

Everyone enjoyed a free afternoon on the town and there is plenty to see around Namche including restaurants, art studios, and lots of fun shopping. Our hotel, Hotel Namche, has been wonderful and everyone is in good spirits and happy to have gotten two nights here before moving on.

From here we will detour off the main track and get a bit more solitude on trail for the next couple days.

Hello from Nepal where the team has all safely arrived with all of their gear. Everyone got to enjoy two different days of city tours around Kathmandu, focusing on different aspects of city and including the largest Stupa (Bhuddist), a holy Hindu cremation site, and a healing bowl factory!

This morning we were able to switch gears and get our flight out of the city and up into the mountains to Lukla, gateway to the Everest region. We have trekked along a beautiful river valley to our first teahouse and the team is enjoying the new sights and surroundings. We will continue up valley and update you along the way, thanks for following our trip!

Hi all,

We’re happy to share that the team has safely returned to Kathmandu yesterday after a wonderful  marking the successful completion of our Everest Base Camp trek and Island Peak climb. It’s been an incredible journey—filled with strong trekking, a great team dynamic, and a memorable summit on Island Peak. We’re proud of how everyone showed up throughout the trip and grateful for the experience shared in the Khumbu.
