Pico de Orizaba Cybercast

We got up around 12:30am to get ready for climbing, and left camp at 2am in gusty winds.  It remained a quite windy and challenging day for the team, but a couple of folks were able to make it to the summit of Orizaba! Everyone made good decisions, stayed safe, and made it back into our basecamp where we packed up and headed back down to Zoapan. A hot shower and dinner were very welcome! Final day for us tomorrow, thanks for following along on our trip!

Hola!

After our first night sleeping in tents up at 13,700ft, we had a delicious chiliquiles breakfast, then went for a hike up the start of our route to get some movement in for the day. After lunch, skills and gear review to make sure we are all ready to go for the summit attempt. Then some down time to pack and get ready before an early dinner and quick to bed since we will be getting up early!
