Mount Vinson Cybercast

Hello Everyone,

Team moved to Low Camp, 2780m/ 9121 ft yesterday. It was a nice climb from BC to Low Camp with some clouds, some breeze and some sun in and out, we made it to Low Camp in just under 5 hour. After setting up the camps, we had Pork Chop with vegetables and Spanish style rice.

Today the weather is still cloudy but we will get some sun later in a day. We are just taking it easy for today and will go on a short stroll after lunch to climb to the first anchor on a fixed line.

Cheers,
Jangbu

Hello Everyone,

Today Terry  and I made it to Vinson Base Camp. It was cloudy at BC this morning so we were standing by until this afternoon, and the weather cleared in late afternoon. It was a smooth flight from Union Glacier Camp to Vinson Base Camp.

We had hamburgers and fries for dinner, and we were able to go through skills review and sled rigging. If all looks good with weather, we will move to low camp. I am excited to be back on the mountain with Terry and can’t wait to share our progress on the upper mountain in coming days.

Thanks for following us along, and will keep it updated.

Cheers,
Jangbu

Hello Everyone,

The team HBM is out of Antarctica and will be making their way back home soon.

Thank you all again for your support and wishes. I have welcomed the Vinson 5, because of weather at base camp there was no flight to base camp, we are spending a night at Union Glacier Camp. Hopefully, will fly to base camp tomorrow and start our expedition to climbing Mt Vinson.

I will keep it posted as we make progress towards our goal. Like on the previous climb, keep sending your support, love and prayers to the team.

Cheers,
Jangbu
