About Our Guides

Our Alps programs are led exclusively by American IFMGA-certified Mountain Guides who have extensive experience guiding throughout the European Alps. Many have spent years living, climbing, and working in the region, giving them an exceptional understanding of the local terrain, weather patterns, hut systems, climbing culture, and logistics.

In addition to their technical expertise and international guiding experience, our Alps guides are bilingual or trilingual, allowing them to communicate effectively with local hut staff, rescue services, and other mountain professionals. Their combination of American client care, IFMGA training, local knowledge, and language skills creates a seamless and highly personalized experience on objectives ranging from Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, and the Matterhorn, to the Eiger and Haute Route.

Nino Guagliano

Nino Guagliano

Guide: Alps
Nino began building his passion for climbing in his late teens. It quickly became an obsession that has taken him around the world to explore and continue developing that passion. After graduating from the Art Center College of Design in California, he began working to merge his love for photography and the mountains into a single career. Completing the guides program and earning IFMGA certification (AMGA / ACMG) allowed him to pursue that dream. His winter guiding currently consists of working full-time with CMH Heli-Ski / Adamants in Canada, along with ski touring lodge trips in the spring. He also teaches avalanche programs locally, and his CAA Level 2 certification remains the gold standard in avalanche education. Alpine and rock guiding in the United States, the European Alps, South America, and Nepal has led to a life of exploration. Living in Canada for the past 12 years has sharpened his...

Dylan Taylor

Dylan Taylor

Guide: Alaska, Washington, Alps
Dylan lives with his partner Marine and their cat  “Jonesy” in the boulder-strewn forests immediately below the Bossons Glacier on Mont Blanc’s north side. The Chamonix Valley has been Dylan’s home since 2009, and before that, he spent a decade in Western Washington after growing up in the Front Range of Colorado. Dylan has been climbing and skiing for over 3 decades, and has been guiding since 2000. Since finishing a Masters in Geology (and eschewing a potentially lively career as a researcher or perpetual PhD student), Dylan has used mountain guiding to combine a love for all things alpine with the satisfaction of sharing it with others. Working as a guide has provided many fun travel opportunities as well as fueling the wanderlust to seek adventure in even more exotic destinations during the off-season. In 2007, Dylan completed his training with the American Mountain Guide Association to become America’s...
