Well, we had a carry day today; we moved personal and expedition gear. The day was gorgeous, with wind and sun—a perfect day. And everyone did very well; they are a strong team. Go Condores!!!
Our plan today is to move to Camp 1 at 4900 meters or 16,076 feet and start our climb. The idea is to stay a few days there to acclimatize, and then move to the next, Camp 2, at 5400 meters or 17,716 feet.
Everyone feels strong and is very motivated. Go Team!!!
We took an extra day at base camp. We checked the weather forecast and decided to spend one day in Plaza Argentina, waiting for good weather. Tomorrow, we will move to Camp 1. We start to go up. The weather looks very bad, but the idea is to stay at high camp to acclimatize better.
Today was very good because we prepared all the fresh food for the next few days, and we also took a shower. We organized our personal gear and saw a movie at night.
Today was our second rest day at base camp. Some of us took a shower and washed some clothes. We rested a lot and enjoyed delicious meals at the base camp. We played cards and watched a movie. We had a good time at the base camp.
