Knot’s & Hitches: The Double Fisherman’s bend

The Double Fisherman’s bend is a simple knot used to join two ends of rope or cordage together. In mountaineering applications, we commonly use this knot to tie a secure loop of cord which is then used as a prusik, or for anchor building material.
