5+Years of Service Sarah Carpenter
Senior Guide: International, Washington, Alaska

Sarah Carpenter has been a mountain guide for the last 14 years, working in the U.S., Africa, India, Chile and Mexico.  Sarah has been guiding for Alpine Ascents for the last 6 years.  She has focused her energy on guiding on Denali, Kilimanjaro, the Everest Base Camp Trek, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, and in the North Cascades.  In the winter, Sarah runs the American Avalanche Institute in Jackson, WY, which she owns with two other partners (one being her husband, Don). As an AMGA certified ski mountaineering guide, Sarah also guides skiing in the Tetons during the winter.

Sarah is passionate about the mountains and about sharing experiences with others.  This passion comes through when she is trekking through the rainforest on Mt Kilimanjaro, when she is standing on the summit of Denali, and when she is learning new things about the people and cultures that she gets to immerse herself in.
